Shelby Williams
Shelby's passion for horses began at a young age and only deepened after getting her first horse. From that moment, she knew she wanted to build a future in the equine industry. At just 10 years old, she started her leadership journey as president of her 4-H club, later serving as president of her university’s equine club. With unwavering dedication, Shelby turned her dream into reality, becoming an entrepreneur in the equine field.
.
After earning her Associate of Science degree from Richland College, Shelby continued her education in West Virginia. In 2013, she graduated from Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre with certifications in Riding Master Level III, Training, Teaching, and Equine Massage Therapy.
.
Following her time at Meredith Manor, Shelby deepened her passion for equine education by getting involved in therapeutic riding. In 2014, she earned her Registered Level Therapeutic Riding Instructor Certification from PATH Intl. and went on to teach therapeutic riding at a North Texas center from 2014 to 2019.
.
In 2017, Shelby graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce (now East Texas A&M University) with a Bachelor’s degree in Equine Studies. She is actively involved in The Chisholm Challenge Horse Show, serving as the Rules and Regulations Coordinator each January.
In 2020, Shelby began giving lessons at home with Ginger, the same horse who sparked her equestrian journey at age eight and whose likeness is featured in the Texas Equine logo. By 2021, she officially turned her lifelong dream into reality, founding Texas Equine Education & Horsemanship.
